Race Wins for Sims and Green

Alexander Sims and Jamie Green signed off the 2011 season in style with victories in the British Formula 3 and DTM series respectively.

It has been a tough season for Alexander as he lead the GP3 Championship at one point only to see it slip from his grasp at the end. It is a brutal business, motorsport, but Alexander is a talented, mentally and physically tough man so I have faith that he will carry on and find a strong career ahead of him. Alexander drove superbly to take victory at Silverstone this month. It was effectively a ‘qualification’ race to ensure Alexander was eligible for the upcoming Macau GP in November. Nevertheless, Alexander still had to overcome a strong field to win the race.

Jamie had a tremendous start to the DTM race in Hockenheim, Germany. The Mercedes driver thundered past Audi’s Molina, who was on Pole, to win the last race of the season. It was an excellant way for Jamie to finish the season and set him up for a potentially very exciting 2012 DTM season. Next year will see the introduction of BMW into the series.

I am looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds.

All the best. Gerry.
